This was a weekday.I was invited by my friend in a white shirt to Shirokanedai. It's an area I rarely visit, haha.About a 5-minute walk from Shirokanedai Station.Sanwa is located in a residential area! The restaurant is on the basement level of the building. The start time is flexible rather than a strict one.You can choose various options for meat and pasta as part of a group prefix menu.Desserts and coffee can be selected individually.Additional items are also available. Here’s what we had, in the order it was served:Drinks:- Draft Beer, Sapporo Black Label- WIEGNER ELISENA- VUURBERG WHITE 2020- BEDOBA ORANGE0. Appetizer:Black olives and dried tomatoes. The black olives had a sweet, fig-like flavor that was quite unique.1. Mozzarella Cheese Mousse with Miyazaki Mango:Topped with salt, olive oil, mozzarella cheese cream, basil, tomato jelly, and a "Tamago" egg.Absolutely delicious! The mozzarella cheese cream was outstanding. The crunch of the salt crystals was also very pleasant.2. Prosciutto and Gnocchi Fritto:The gnocchi fritto is topped with prosciutto sliced using a Berkel slicer. On the left is mortadella with pistachios. On the right is salami.- Focaccia (forgot to take a photo):Moist texture.3. Cold Pasta with Sea Urchin, Okra, and Tomato:Featuring Hokkaido purple sea urchin, okra, tomato, and pesto sauce.4. Fried Spanish Mackerel:Crispy coating with tender mackerel.Served with a tangy herb sauce.5. Risotto with Green Asparagus and Parmesan Cheese:Hmm… this doesn’t seem to be cooked from raw rice.It was creamy but lacked a nice texture.6. Granita to Refresh the Palate:Red shiso granita topped with popping candy. The combination of sourness and the popping sensation in the mouth was amusing, haha.7. Grilled Seasonal Vegetables:Turnip, sweet potato, zucchini, and bell pepper.8. Grilled Meat:I chose the French Bigo pork shoulder from five options (venison, squab, hogget, beef, and pork).I was curious about the hogget, but my friend doesn’t eat game or lamb, haha. The pork was from free-range black pigs, so the fat wasn’t overly rich, and the lean meat was delicious too!9. Pasta:There were six types of pasta to choose from, but since it was a group prefix, I couldn’t order the specialty "Hasegawa’s Mushroom Spaghetti."My friend can’t eat mushrooms, haha.So here’s what we had:a. Octopus Arrabbiata Spaghetti:The octopus had a texture similar to that of soft-boiled octopus served at sushi restaurants. The thick noodles were more chewy than al dente, which I think women would enjoy.b. Bottarga Spaghetti:Next to me, someone said that amount was lethal, with Calpis butter added, haha. The richness was overwhelming, and I had to give up after two plates… haha.Even though a girl finished all six plates and went home… the guys were pathetic, lol.10. Dessert and Coffee:I chose tiramisu. Each dish had a decent portion size, so it was quite filling. It might be a normal amount in Italy, but…The service was great, and I can see why this place is popular for its comfortable atmosphere. It was delicious!Thank you for the meal!
