The first stop of my Kanazawa week (though it's just day trips) is this place, which has recently gained a reputation for being hard to book. The hydrangeas outside are also in a lovely bloom. Unusually for Kanazawa, the weather was great without any rain. The dishes, including the sea bream soup and sashimi, were top-notch—nothing more to say about them. The abalone was also served with a delicious broth. I appreciate the commitment to using locally sourced sweetfish. I’m looking forward to my next visit. It was a great meal!
