I've been coming to this place for probably over 20 years.It's my favorite soba restaurant in Tokyo for more than two decades.However, since the renovation, I've only visited three times.It's close yet feels distant.I might not crave soba as much as I used to.Today, I wasn't specifically aiming for Jiyu San; I just happened to pass by. But when I saw it was open, I couldn't resist stopping in.It had been a while since my last visit, and I found they were offering seasonal soba, so I tried the Mozuku Soba.They also had a dish called Natto Udon, and I learned for the first time that they occasionally serve udon.Of course, I want to try Jiyu San's udon!However, since I had just eaten ramen beforehand, I couldn't manage it this time. I think I'll start checking their Instagram regularly.
