I was fortunate enough to secure a reservation on the same day at this popular restaurant, which is usually fully booked. This place offers a course meal that can truly be called an eel kaiseki, featuring a variety of eel dishes. They source high-quality eels from different regions and serve them according to the menu. On this day, we enjoyed eels from Shizuoka's Kyomizu, Hamamatsu's Deshiko, natural eels from Lake Biwa, Aji-man from Miyazaki, and those from Amakusa. The meal included: - Soup - Tempura - Sashimi - Grilled liver with a twist - Eel and egg with a twist - Miso grilled eel with young corn - Tail - Uzaku-style - Peking duck-style - White grilled eel - Grilled eel, comparing Kanto and Kansai styles - DessertIn total, we enjoyed 13 dishes. While many eel dishes are traditional, they added unique twists to enhance the flavors, and I was truly impressed by the meal. Among the dishes, the eel sashimi was probably my first experience, and I was amazed that it could be served as sashimi. Although it's nearly impossible to make a reservation here, I definitely hope to visit again. It was a great meal!
