It's a treat I look forward to every three months. This time, I sat at the very front of the counter, right in front of the grill, although the table was a bit small.I started with a toast using Heartland beer.I quickly finished two bottles. Then, the skewers began.First up was the grilled eel head, prepared in the Kanto style. The sweetness of the sauce was delightful.Next was the grilled eel head in the Kansai style, seasoned with salt. This one was refreshing. After that, I had the grilled eel fin, which was served with sauce on the tail part. They explained that this is the best part, grilled from the belly and back fins, and they were absolutely right—it was delicious. Then came the grilled liver with sauce, made from all the innards. It had a slight bitterness but was tasty. The kushimaki was made from the meat near the tail, seasoned with salt, and it was also good. The grilled eel was tender and delicious.Following that, I enjoyed the tail with sauce, natural fin, liver with salt, and natural liver with salt.I couldn't stop drinking. The white grilled eel was fluffy, and since I ordered the kabayaki to be firm, I could enjoy it generously over rice. The cold tofu and pickles served in between were all delicious as well. The couple's hospitality was wonderful, and I want to keep coming back.Thank you for the wonderful meal, as always.
