Bodega Cigaleña is not a steak restaurant nor an asador, it just happened to have some pretty good chuleta. But I think its strength is the whole package, including some impeccable old wine. The whole ceiling was covered with wine bottles, a super cool design!

We also got some appetizers such as Jamón ibérico de bellota D. O. Los Pedroches, served in dramatic long log and really high quality. Gamba blanca de Huelva a la plancha (Grilled White Shrimps) reminded me of the shrimps that I used to have when I was a kid, wild and not farmed, full of sea flavor and sweetness. It helped when I got all the heads (again! 😝). Cod cococha (kokotxa) in pil pil sauce was another excellent dish, padron peppers and potato, basically everything we had was fantastic!

Stilton cheesecake at the end was one of the best versions of non-burnt cheesecakes I had in Spain.
