Mugi taberna Bilbao

I came back after dinner 😆 to see if their kitchen still open and it were already closing, but so super lucky to find a group of Japanese eating there and they included my friend Nina san, Tetsuro san (of Etxebarri) and his wife Naomi san. What’s the chance of that? They invited me to join and I was thinking sure, let’s chat and then a plate of grilled 5J Iberico secreto (inner loin) and pluma (rear loin) appeared (pic 1-4). In fact they ordered exactly what I wanted before I arrived 😱😱😱That moment I felt like Bingo!😆😆😆 .

And they were super good! I could understand why someone recommended it. Full of pork flavors and was skilfully seasoned and grilled, texture too was intriguing with meat and fat and some nice chew in between. I was so happy 🤗. They also ordered sorian torreznos (deep fried pork rashers / back bacons, pic 5-7) as a side and those were delicious too. It was fried to the point where the fat really turned like melting jelly (pic 7) 😍 .

It was such a happy night as we chatted till the shop closed and besides the food, the company (pic 9) made it an amazing experience 💗
