Recommended bowl: Taishōken-inspired

Inspired by the legendary Eifukucho Taishōken, this shop serves larger than average bowls of nostalgic Tokyo shoyu made with niboshi. The clear pork soup also contains kombu and vegetables, and is served with noodle portions that are one and a half the size of your typical ramen shop. Noodles are special ordered, and like Eifukucho Taishōken, you can order sides such as menma or a raw egg to dip your noodles in. Run by master Muramoto-san, it was originally opened in 1983, moving to a new location nearby in 2004.
