Recommended bowl: A Shibuya legend

Located in the heart of Shibuya and open since 1952, this shop has remained somewhat of a relic amongst the bustling metropolis that has sprouted up around it. The current master Hayashi-san took the reins from his father, the original master, and has now been running the shop for five decades. The bowls here are old-school Tokyo-style shoyu ramen with dried onions. Noodles are ordered via the same maker in Eifukucho for over 20 years. Extra moyashi (bean sprouts) recommended, as well as gyoza on the side. For some, this place is pure nostalgia.
