Recommended bowl: Ayu ramen

In the Toranomon Yokochō is where you'll find the second branch of Ayu Ramen, a shop located in the Tokyo suburb of Futako-Tamagawa, and one well-known for using Ayu fish. The Ayu (sweetfish) is a freshwater fish native to the rivers of Japan as well as other parts of East Asia. Here you can have a clear shio based soup made with pork and Ayu fish from Gifu Prefecture. The recommended 'Ayu Goto Ramen' comes topped with one grilled whole Ayu fish. After you finish the noodles and toppings, it's recommended to order a yaki onigiri (grilled rice ball) to add to the remaining soup. Ayu Ramen flaship in Futako-Tamagawa open since 2002, Toranomon Hills Yokochō shop since June 2020.
