Recommended bowl: Chashu wontonmen

Master Komuro-san previously worked at the shop Kazuya in Gotanda (now closed), which was the second branch of the well-known Kazuya in Meguro. Following in the Tantantei lineage, the bowls here are an old-school Tokyo style, containing a clear soup of chicken carcasses, whole chickens, pork leg bones, vegetables, niboshi and other sea ingredients. Customers have the choice of shoyu or shio tare, and noodles are house-made in a noodle room located inside the shop. Most opt for the handmade wontons as toppings, but the pork chashu is also popular. Order the chashu wontonmen and get plenty of both. Open since 2014.
