Before heading to Ishigaki, Okinawa, we head to 1* Ishigaki Yoshida (石垣吉田 - same name as the beef comes from Ishigaki). The specialty here is Kitauchi Premium Beef that comes from the farm on Ishigaki island, and it's cooked for over 3 hours to bring out the umami flavor. This beef has a lineage that can be traced back to Kobe beef, and is raised in Ishigaki for over 1200 days with great care. In fact, all of the dishes prepared for the courses use only the finest quality seasonal ingredients.

The highlight was the Ishigaki Beef Curry rice, a secret menu item that has to be ordered 3 days prior to your reservation. It was mind-blowingly delicious! Easily the best beef curry rice we've ever had and one of the best dishes we've ever eaten, period.
