1* Jungsik (#22 on the 2017 Asia's 50 Best) is touted as the pioneer of modern Korean fine dining. The restaurant combines Korean culinary techniques with those from all over the world, adding in local, seasonal ingredients and flavors.
::::
Chef-Owner Jungsik Yim trained at Aquavit and Bouley in New York and at Zuberoa and Akelarre in Spain, before returning to Seoul in 2009 to open his restaurant (he also has a 2* namesake restaurant in NYC).
::::
Today, Executive Chef Jungho Kim leads the kitchen. Excellent meal, especially the octopus dish with Gochujang aioli.
