We ordered the avocado tofu appetizer, pork and egg yakisoba, Viking's negiyaki (shrimp, squid, octopus, scallop), and mixed okonomiyaki (pork, shrimp, squid). All excellent and delicious. ?

It's been years since we've had Osaka-style okonomiyaki and we sure miss it. We ended up going to a top ranked okonomoyaki spot on Tabelog called Fukutaro (福太郎) located in Dōtonbori, where the original store is located (there are several). There was already a very long line before opening and fortunately, we grabbed the last 2 spots for the first seating. As we entered, we saw one person manning the okonomiyaki and negiyaki station and another person making the yakisoba. Everyone is seated around the counter with a front row view of the staff cooking and serving. For this specialty, the okonomiyaki is superb.
