Mikasa (美かさ) is a tempura temple with 10 counter seats and Master Chef Doi-san behind the counter. It is the #1 ranked tempura restaurant in all of Tokyo according to Tabelog (and #2 in all of Japan). It was incredible! Every piece was fried with just the right amount of batter, neither too crispy nor oily. The flavors were very refined, which is the result of Master Chef Doi-San making tempura for over 40 years. Best of all? The excellent value of this meal at ¥12,000, which is cheaper than many comparable shops.
