We came across a very local tiny shack on the side of the road called Beef Steak Semmon Hiyoko (ビーフステーキ専門店 ひよこ). It's the highest ranked steak place on Tabelog in the Ishikawa prefecture. There are just 8 counter seats and it's run by one older gentleman (Chef) and his wife; they've been in this same location for the past 50 years. There's no menu and no English spoken here. You walk in, sit down, and watch the magic unfold. Everyone starts with a tomato and cucumber salad followed by 300g of Kuroge Wagyu beef steak with shiitake mushroom, onion, eggplant, potato, and green pepper. Within 15 minutes, everything was ready to eat. Loved this place - the perfect spot to satisfy that Wagyu craving. Advance reservations are highly recommended.
