There are just 8 counter seats and it's run by one older gentleman (Chef) and his wife; they've been in this same location for the past 50 years.

There's no menu and no English spoken here. You walk in, sit down, and watch the magic unfold. Everyone starts with a tomato and cucumber salad followed by 300g of Kuroge Wagyu beef steak with shiitake mushroom, onion, eggplant, potato, and green pepper. Within 15 minutes, everything was ready to eat. Loved this place - the perfect spot to satisfy that steak craving. Advance reservations are highly recommended.

One place that we loved from our previous Kanazawa trip was this very local tiny shack on the side of the road called Hiyoko (ひよこ). It's the highest ranked steak place on Tabelog in the Ishikawa prefecture.
