Riccardo Camanini - Lido 84 was opened in 2014 by brothers Riccardo and Giancarlo Camanini. Just 6 months later they were awarded a Michelin star. Today, it’s one of the most well-respected restaurants in the country with top acclaim by the Guida dell’Espresso (maybe the most influential guide in Italy), dish of the year at the World’s Restaurant Awards, and “the one to watch” by the World’s 50 Best.

A meal at Lido 84 is very good value, especially when compared to similar fine dining restaurants. The space feels intimate and relaxed with very cool art decorations. Our table had a panoramic view of the lake thanks to the wall-to-ceiling glass panels. There is also a huge emphasis on education and transparency at Lido 84; for example, Riccardo ensures all his chefs spend no more than 2 months at each station.

The menu we had was a combination of delicious classics and new innovations. We learned that over the past 5 years, Riccardo has created nearly 300 dishes. Very impressive and looking forward to visiting Lido 84 again and again for many years to come to see how the restaurant continues to evolve.
