New Kushi-age (Fried Skewer) paired with Creative cuisine restaurant. Ayumu Sato, the Chef/Owner from Comptoir Feu is also involved which is not surprising.
You get 13 skewers, 3 bowls and 1 somen. With the exceptions of the somen, no dish was straight forward. There is always a topping, in addition there is a choice of 6 different sauces which one can use to further change or enhance the flavor.
All of them were very tasty, one or two were in my view ill calibrated in the sense of the main ingredient being over powered by the topping. Still delicious but that is not the point.
To offset the oil, they serve coleslaw which enhance by olive oil to create a very smooth and deep flavor.
The have a quite a wine selection and very nice glasses.
Interesting twist on a traditional Japanese food.
