About
Andras Jokuti is a Hungarian writer and foodie living in Budapest. Through his award-winning blog, he has become the number one authority on Budapest restaurants and food culture, as well as a great source of influence for sharing the most extraordinary food stories from around the world.
Concurrent with his personal blog, Andras is also a regular contributor to food publications including Feinschmecker (Germany), Forbes and Exclusive (Hungary). He hosts culinary TV series on the Discovery Channel and TV Paprika, and regularly acts as a fixer for visiting TV productions which have involved Anthony Bourdain and Donal Skehan.
As well as being a member of the Bocuse d’Or Academy Hungary - a role which has entailed being the Master of Ceremonies at the Hungarian national finals as well as the European and world - Andras co-hosts The Gourmet Festival which is Hungary’s largest food and cooking open-air festival.

If you are curious about the future of fine dining, you need to try Francescana (without ‘Osteria’!) at Casa Maria Luigia.
Despite serving the old signature dishes of Massimo Bottura - some of them already 2-3 decades old! - it offers a very modern and unique approach with a wonderful inclusivity of every single diner in the restaurant.
There were some moments where I thought I’m sitting in an amazing stand-up comedy, the 3 star Michelin maestro and the young Canadian chef Jessica Rosval created an utmost entertaining duo presenting the dishes and the background stories, it is really unique to fill every moment of a long degustation with fun!
And I hope I don’t need to name those legendary dishes on the photos…

But afrer my first meal back in June I needed to check out this colors, ingredients, spices, ideas galore. Whereas the huge majority of top chefs are trying to get rid of too many ingredients… Dabiz Muniz speaks many different languages from Mexican through Sout-East Asian to Japanese, and he is not afraid to use them in one single meal: from mole through laksha, thai green curry, Japanese katsusando (of hare!), and mochis with Spanish flavors. If you are not afraid getting lost in this culinary jungle, it will be a fantastic ride, if you prefer 3-4 ingredients on your plate, I have warned you!
